Re-Enable Windows Firewall Options

Sometimes it is necessary to undo Windows Firewall changes that were done by Group Policy.  To do so, navigate to the following Registry location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\

There should be a sub key called “Windows Firewall”. Delete the “Windows Firewall” key and then reopen Windows Firewall from Control Panel and you will have control back, until a Group Policy gets pushed to your enterprise workstation again.
